FAQ
Where are we staying?
The Nxt Gen Summit will be hosted at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan (3088 Smith Springs Road, Antioch, TN, 37013). Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Nashville airport, this retreat center will provide us the chance to unplug and enjoy God’s creation while learning and connecting with like-minded young leaders. For a visual of the camp, go here.
You have the option of staying off site but it won’t change the cost of the ticket. You will also need to figure out your transportation. To view the recommended hotels for our guest, go here.
What should I pack?
Throughout this gathering, you will experience a mix of time indoors for sessions and outdoors for free time and activities on the camp property. Be sure to pack some athletic gear, warm clothes for the evenings, and your best “country” attire for our afterparty on the first night. Also, we’ll provide a journal for note-taking, but don’t forget your Bible. Bed linens will be provided for those staying on site at camp, but make sure to bring a bath towel
How will everyone be dressed?
Think of this as a conference with ample time at a camp. So bring outfits you would wear for camp (and even swimming if you’d like) but also bring outfits for our sessions, dinners, and if you want, even our country dancing afterparty. People will most likely dress up a bit for sessions and our dinners.
When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive at Camp Widjiwagan at 1:00. on Monday, September 20 to get settled in, explore the camp and get to know other attendees before our first session starts at 4:30 p.m.
How do we get from the airport to the camp?
We recommend using Uber or Lyft. It’s only a 15-minute drive from the Nashville airport, and everything we do for the Nxt Gen Summit will take place on the camp property.
If You’ll Be There Early…
If you happen to be in Nashville the night before the Nxt Gen Summit, join us at 8 p.m. for a late dinner at Assembly Food Hall (5055 Broadway Pl, Nashville, TN 37203), a new food hall in downtown Nashville. Feel free to join us and get to know some of the group before the event.
May I see the full schedule?
Yes. Click here.
Do we have to stay at the camp?
No. Staying at the camp is not a requirement. We know some may prefer their own space and are welcome to seek out nearby hotels. You have the option of staying off site but it won’t change the cost of the ticket. You will also need to figure out your transportation. For a visual of the camp, go here. To view the recommended hotels for our guest, go here.
Can I bring my spouse?
Yes, we would love for married couples to experience the Nxt Gen Summit together. Please note: you will need to purchase an additional ticket for your spouse and we will NOT have separate lodging available for married couples, as all attendees staying onsite will be accommodated in gender-designated cabins. You may choose to stay offsite at one of our recommended hotels if you prefer.
Are all the speakers with us in person?
Yes. Every speaker will be with us in person.
Can I bring my kids?
No. Unfortunately, kids are not allowed at this gathering due to venue and logistical limitations.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can get a full refund until one month out from the retreat (August 22). Starting September 1st there unfortunately will be no refunds. Please email angela@qideas if you can no longer attend.
Can I still come if I can’t make the whole event?
It depends on how much you would miss. We have fairly limited space, and we want everyone to get the most out of this gathering. If you would miss more than a half-day, we’d lean towards attending next year instead.
Who is invited to this event?
The Nxt Gen Summit is designed for high-caliber young Christians who are living out a faithful witness wherever God has called them. We believe when Christian leaders from the seven channels of cultural influence—arts and entertainment, media, business, education, government, church and the social sector— come together, truly amazing things can happen.
Will the sessions be recorded?
The main sessions will be recorded and made available for attendees at a later time. However, we encourage you to participate with us live and in-person, as we know there’s nothing quite like an in-the-room learning experience.
What does the $350 registration fee include?
With your $350 registration fee, you will receive: lodging, all meals and drinks, five sessions focused on important cultural conversations, time to connect with 200+ young leaders, and a gift bag. All travel must be arranged on your own.
